The students have a lot going on this week in Social Studies. They will have a map and vocab quiz over the Jeffersonian Era on Wednesday, 1/27. Please make sure they study their blue social studies notebook pgs. 25 and 33.
The students will be assigned to watch President Obama’s State of the Union address on Wednesday 1/27 at 7pm. Every year we have the students watch the State of the Union because it is important for the students to keep up with current events. While the students are watching the President’s address, they will need to fill in their NB pgs. 7-8.
IPR grades are due this Thursday. Please help make sure your child has turned in all assignments or completed any assessment corrections.

Hello! I hope everyone had a wonderful Holiday break!
We have begun a new semester and a new unit. The students have been given a new social studies interactive notebook. Please make your child takes care of the notebook and brings it to class everyday. The students have a new calendar in the front of their notebook. It has their homework and classwork listed for each day. If the students have a stamp on it, it means they have completed the assignment. If it does not have a stamp, it means they did not complete it on time. Please help remind your child to keep up with their assignments to prevent them from falling behind.
On another note, please make sure your child has the necessary school supplies. Several students are coming to school without writing utencils. If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesistate to contact me! I look forward to another great semester!

Friday is the last day of the six weeks. Please make sure your child has turned in all makeup/late work/assessment corrections by Friday (12/18). We will have a test over the Constitution and Government on Tuesday, 12/15. Please make sure your child studies for that major assessment.
Pre-AP classes American Revolution Children’s book is due on Wednesday, 12/16. We will be traveling to Spring Hill Elementary on Thursday 12/17.

We will be having a test over the lead up to the American Revolution on Monday, November 2nd. The students will be given their study guides today in class and it will be due on Friday (10/30). If the students get a parent/guardian to sign their study guide, I will give them 5 extra points on the test. Please make sure your child studies a little bit each day for their test.

We will be having a vocabulary quiz over the American Revolution on Thursday, October 22. Please help your child prepare for this assessment by studying notebook pages 61-62.
Just an FYI, IPR grades are due this Friday, October 23. This is a short six weeks. Please check your child’s grades and if they have any failing or missing grades, please encourage them to attend my afterschool tutorials on Tuesday, Thursday, or Fridays.

On another note, please make sure your child is keeping up with their class and homework in their white social studies notebook. The best way to do this is by checking the weekly assignments tab on this blog or check your child’s agenda to make sure they are filling it out.
